Our first week of school.

Things are going so well! Our joint day of school went great. Parents and students alike were able to explore the school, hear a few rules, and do a craft together. (Watch for those hanging somewhere in the preschool this week!)

Our first lesson was "All About Me." We drew portraits of ourselves, talked about why we are all special, and read a book about our "Parts." (Eyes, ears, nose, etc.) We did our fingerprints too and talked about how nobody in the world has the same fingerprints as we do.

We are focusing on the letter "A" this week. Going along with Zoo Phonics, we learned "A is for Allie Alligator" followed by the A sound.

We learned a clean up song as well as a Days of the Week song. To reinforce what your students are learning, ask them about these things!

Don't forget to send something for our Aa bag! The show and tell bag. Remember, whatever they bring will say at school for the year. Even a picture of something that begins with Aa is great!

If you have any questions/comments, feel free to leave them here!

Thanks!
Mrs. Taft
