Our field trip to the pumpkin patch was so much fun. The kids had fun walking through and picking out their little pumpkins to bring home. We talked about where a pumpkin comes from and how it grows. We were able to see many varieties and colors of pumpkins as well as see the vines they grow on. A trip finished off by cookies and we were good to go. Thanks again to the parents who came along. It always makes for more fun and an easier time for me when I have more parents there to help out.
We also talked about Fire Safety! You child should know several new things about how to be safe in a fire. We talked about "Stop, Drop, and Roll", calling 911, having a safety plan and a meeting place and basic common sense about how to act in a fire. Have your child go over their Firehouse Dog with you to talk about each part of keeping safe in a fire situation.
We are learning lots of fun Halloween songs! I hope you're hearing some of them...in bits and pieces anyway. :)
Watch for your November Calendars coming home today.
