What a FUN week!

We had such a fun week this week! It was the letter Ff's turn to shine. We talked all about fire safety and worked in talking about pumpkins.
We had so much fun on our field trip day visiting the fire station and pumpkin patch. We talked a lot about fire safety. I hope your kids came home and shared that they know to call 911 in an emergency, that every family needs a safe meeting place, and that if they are on fire they should not run, but should stop, drop and roll. All of our fire safety discussion was reinforced by the wonderful firemen who conducted our tour of Station Number 5.
After that, we talked about how pumpkins grow from the seed all the way to the final big beautiful pumpkin. It was great to be able to go the pumpkin patch and see the parts of the pumpkin up close. The vine, the leaves and the actual pumpkin. We even found some smaller ones that hadn't grown fully and even a flower or two that didn't quite make it. Great hands on learning.
I hope that your children had a fun week. Looking ahead to our Halloween Celebrations and starting November!
